Wednesday this week was a rather special day for me, as I started my most-coveted and fought-for shiny new job. Dress-code in my new office is casual, however people do judge you from the very first impression (often before you have even opened your mouth), so I did put a lot of thought into what to wear on the big day.
As everyone else is the office is dressed casual, a business suit would have definitely been out of place but then I didn't want to look too casual either, being the first day and all. So - what I decided to wear was a simple grey shirt from Primark, favourite black skinnies from Zara and studded pumps from Asos, adding a bit of bling with the help of a spiky necklace from H&M. Felt really comfortable and chic all day!
PS. I am rather impressed with the material and overall quality of the Primark shirt. It's once in a blue moon I find myself in Primark (due to previous experiences of clothes bought from there only to last until the first wash - boo), however this shirt was more than worth its £12 price tag. It's almost opaque with a flattering cut and rather luxurious-looking flowy fabric - perfect to wear with pretty much anything! Top marks for value for money.
