Model Crush - Ginta Lapina

I love it when in the massive sea of fashion models now and then I come across to a girl that ticks all the boxes for me. The girl who has recently caught my eye is a 23-year-old Latvian beauty Ginta Lapina. Current face of Sportmax and Louis Vuitton, Lapina's career has gone from strength to strength since being discovered on the streets of Riga in March 2005. Soon after she was signed to a New York MC2 Model Management and her runway debut was Spring 2008 New York Fashion Week. And the rest, as they say, is history!

H&M Trend Update

I really really like this H&M Trend Update lookbook featuring the absolutely stunning Russian model Vika Falileeva. H&M's take on this season's sporty luxe trend (which I must say I am not a massive fan of) is surprisingly elegant and wearable.  All pieces look more expensive than H&M's usual price range and are available to buy on H&M website right now.  I need that black parka in my life!

Denim Dream

As soon as I saw this picture of Ashley Olsen wearing a crinkled denim shirt I became obsessed with finding myself one too. She looks amazing with her tousled hair and I-don't-give-a-damn-what-I-wear outfit. Instead of white skirt I would team the shirt with white or black shorts and sandals - brilliant lazy Summer outfit!

I found a perfect denim shirt by an Australian label Stylestalker on pages of the latest InStyle magazine. White panels at the front of the shirt look so cool and add such interest! The only problem is that I cannot find this shirt anywhere anymore which doesn't really surprise me considering how fab it is :-(
The search continues.

Changes.

As some of you might have noticed, I have revamped and renamed my blog. When I first started writing it last year I didn't put much thought into its name and design, as I wasn't sure how long I was going to keep it up for but I am pleased to say that I have enjoyed writing it so much that I am not planning to say goodbye to it any time soon :-)

I have renamed the blog Owl In Vogue. This is due to my massive love and admiration of owls and of course my blog being about fashion I wanted to add something a bit fashiony to the name. I think Owl In Vogue is a bit strange and quirky but fun and easy to remember. The new design is clean white - I decided to keep it as simple and easily readable as possible. It looks so much fresher now! The blog URL remains the same for time being but I am in talks with Blogger right now trying to change it and at the same time keeping the followers. I hope you like it and have a fab weekend, everyone! :-)

This Week's Lust Have

Actually, the title of this post is slightly incorrect, as this item has been in my lust-have list for several years not just this week. I am, of course, talking about the beautiful Mulberry Bayswater handbag I have been drooling over for too long now. The most expensive handbag I have bought so far is the £360 Gucci Boston bag and I must say I still love it as much as on the day I first opened the golden Gucci box and found this beauty inside :-) But this baby here costs twice as much..

A few months ago I happened to watch a TV show about the UK factory Mulberry bags are produced in and it was so lovely to see the workers (or should I say, craftsmen?) being so passionate about the product. It takes a long time to produce one bag, it is made all by hand and of the finest quality leather. I have heard people say Mulberry bags should last a lifetime, so maybe it is worth the £700 investment?

The Bayswater is my number one want-it-so-bad bag and I am sure one day the time will come when I have it on my arm.

Soft Pastels And Tough Leather

Received this stunning Oasis blouse by mail a few days ago and I am totally in love with it. The colour is just too beautiful and I will most certainly be wearing it for longer than just this season - even when pastels will no longer be as fashionable as they are now.
I teamed the blouse with a pair of faux leather shorts, as pastels being quite girly I wanted to avoid too feminine look and give the outfit a bit tougher edge.

Fabulous Necklaces By Forever21

American high street giant Forever21 has never really caught my attention before, but this all changed when I saw one of their necklaces in a magazine a few days ago. I decided to take a look at their website and I must say I was blown away by the gigantic choice and supercheap prices. I have been on a hunt for a beautiful, slightly blingy necklace to go with a simple neutral-coloured tee for months now and haven't managed to find the perfect one.

Forever21 has a huge choice on necklaces and I found so many I loved that I am just about to place an order for at least 10 of them. At £5-£10 they are so affordable and I think I can get away with purchasing more than just one or two.. :-) Here are my most favourite pieces from their collection - it is a very hard choice to decide which ones to get, as I truly would like to buy them all!!!

Can you believe that the most expensive necklace of all above costs £10.65? Unbelievable.
Forever21 ships to the UK and many other European countries.

Wildfox Strikes Again

I have yet again fallen in love with Wildfox Couture's latest pre-fall 2012 collection called Magical Creatures and its lookbook. Their clothing just screams me and sometimes it seems like they have created their collection after consulting with me :-) I am a huge fan of oversized tees, sweaters and hippie chic trousers and shorts and these guys never disappoint.

If you don't yet own a piece of Wildfox, I would highly recommend to try it out - their pieces are totally adorable and definitely worth their higher than average price tag. It is difficult to describe the luxuy feel of their fabrics on the skin and their fun designs light up any grey day!

I am also quite smitten with the model choice - an American sweetheart Amanda Booth. She looks amazing  in every single outfit and her look is perfect for the brand. Now - take a few minutes to relax and enjoy the beautiful images ;-)

Kevad Südames..

What a beautiful Saturday! I decided to title this post in Estonian, as "Spring in my heart" sounds much more beautiful in my native language than it does in English. It is so warm and sunny today that I couldn't help but spend most of the day outside. The most wonderful time of the year is when the trees start living again, grass turns greener and you can smell Spring in the air. It seems like it's a new beginning starting soon..

I couldn't help but take some pics today of the first signs of Spring in my back garden. Also, I wanted to show you an outfit with some of the absolute favourite pieces in my wardrobe right now. Not a week goes by when I don't wear this fabulous mint green sweater and I think the color goes very well with beige jeans. Also, I am in love with the black boots I am wearing on the pics - I have worn these for several Winters now and adore their distressed and dusty look. Some things really get better with age!
