I love my postman!

Yesterday, 3 amazing things arrived through my letterbox:

I can't wait to read the "Fashion Babylon" which promises to give me an insight into - What is fashion; Who decides what's in and what's out?; Is everyone high on drugs and full on Champagne?; Whose backside the front-rowers need to kiss to be able to sit there? etc.. Sounds promising!! And thank you to Amazon.co.uk for delivering it just in time for my upcoming beach holiday. Perfect lazy read!

I was also happy to find a full 50ml bottle of Gucci by Gucci fragrance which was a gift from ELLE magazine for my recent 6-month subscription. I paid £10 and for that I will receive 6 issues of the magazine plus this perfume as a gift! Pretty good value :-)

And last but not least, I am always happy to find the newest issue of ASOS magazine in my letterbox. However, as seen on below picture - my cat Patrick refused to hand it to me before he had a flick through himself. Cats are so selfish!!! :-D

This will probably be my last post before I return from my eagerly awaited holiday to Agadir, Morocco.
I am extremely excited to visit this mysterious Arabic country and the beaches where Sex And The City 2 movie was filmed. And of course - bring on all these fabulous Marrakech souk's (markets)!! I am taking an additional empty suitcase with me to bring all these purchases home :)

Will be back on or around the 9th of October. Happy Autumn!

You are wearing WHAT???

Most people like writing about the things they love. I thought to do something a bit different and list all these clothes / footwear I would never touch in the shop. Without a doubt - some people look fantastic rocking them (the only exception being fur - no-one looks good in a corpse), however I am so not one of those people.
So - here is the list:

FUR - the most horrific and disgusting thing in fashion. I wouldn't wear a tiny piece of it even if I was naked in Antarctica. Any designer showing fur in their collection will not ever see me parting with my hard-earned cash in exchange of a garment of theirs!

BODY-CON DRESS - screams TRASHY! Or maybe I'm just jealous that I don't have the perfect figure to pull it off :D

CROCS - need I say any more? Horrendous.

DENIM JACKET - looks incredibly cool on many people and I can't really put my finger on why I don't like it.. But I don't and I do not ever intend to add it to my wardrobe.

PLATFORM SHOES - OK, I admit the ones on this picture are beyond uglyness, however I have never liked platform soled shoes or boots, no matter how fashionable or trendy.

WIDE LEGGED TROUSERS - these make the wearer look like she has just lost half a ton of weight and has been wearing these all the way - without ever taking them off :D

BIKER BOOTS - as by their name - should only be worn by bikers

TRAINERS - should only be worn by sportpeople whilst doing sports!

DUNGAREES - are you pregnant? Thought so - so stay clear!

MAXI SKIRT - I don't hate it, as when styled right it can look fab. I just don't love it either :s

COWBOY BOOTS - should only be worn by cowboys in old American movies.

FLARED JEANS - I have no interest in ever looking like Frida from ABBA

OK, enough now of all this moaning. Back soon on a much more positive note! ;-)

My latest buy..

..is this awesome colour block knitted dress by a Scandinavian brand called Vila. Clashing colours fit perfectly with the upcoming Autum and I am especially loving the splash of mustard which is one of my favourite colours.

Batwing sleeves keep the look casual and deep V-neck adds some quiet sexiness to the look :) I love the styling on this picture and this is exactly how I am planning to wear it - with opaque tights, black boots and gold necklace.

Oh postman, come quicker!! :P

My answer is yes I would and yes I will! On top of my must-buy items list at the moment is this fabulous Alexander Wang for Starbucks coffee stain print T-shirt, available to buy for $85 / €65 / £58.

Young hot US designer Alexander Wang has designed this unusual print soft knit tee to celebrate the world famous coffee chain's 40th birthday and what a way to celebrate! I haven't seen anything this genius for a long time :D

Can't wait to style it up with black skinnies and chunky cardie. Bring on the Autumn!

I AMsterdam ..

This week I had the pleasure to once again visit one of my favourite cities in the world - the fabulous Amsterdam! I don't know what it is that I love so much about Amsterdam but every time I am there I love it more and more...

Each time I have been in the city it's been because of work. However, I have always added a bit of play into the trip - it would be a crime to sit in your hotel room in the evening when you are in such an amazing place!!

I have never been to so many sexy sassy bars and restaurants - this place oozes cool and just sucks you in! The city itself is truly charming - with over a hundred kilometres of canals, beautiful historic houses and very friendly people I feel I could easily live there.

This time me and a few colleagues decided to be the real tourists and went on a cruise around the city's famous canals. Needless to say, it was amazing - despite pouring rain :)

Here are some pics I took in the city - can't wait to go back again in October and this time - play only!! :P

I love Septembers in England, as generally they seem to be sunnier than July or August. Today was a fantastic day - really got my spirits up and ready for the coming workweek and training trip to Amsterdam :)

Decided to post some pics of my today's outfit - the first time I got to wear my brand new and HUGE favourite t-shirt with Estonian kroon print. Estonia welcomed euro as its currency on the 1st of January this year and although euro is more convenient, I do miss our own identity and our own money :) This t-shirt ensures I will never forget our beautiful banknotes!

Shirt (€27) is available from Nu Nordik shop in Tallinn and can also be mail-ordered.

I adore these finger brooches by Estonian designer Kristel Saan. The porcelain beauties can be worn individually or as a set of four.

Why is Kim Kardashian famous??

I am rather annoyed with people without any talent being famous and cashing in for their "own-branded" goods.

Like America's favourite rich socialite/reality star (?) Kim Kardashian. I am struggling to understand why she is so famous? For having a curvy bum? Mine is quite round as well. For wearing nice clothes? I've got 2 wardrobes full of nice clothes. I'm struggling to understand why the hell do people buy fragrances, eyeshadows and other potions simply because it has Ms Kardashian's name on it? I find it absolutely ridiculous.

Proper cosmetics companies spend years developing and testing every product they bring on the market. These brands have top scientists working for them to make sure every single ingredient is thoroughly tested. Why would anyone buy a cheaply mass produced lipstick with Katie Price's "branding" printed on it? It doesn't make any sense to me.

All these celebrities don't think about benefits to your skin - all they think about is cashing in for their fame.
Well, I don't want Paris Hilton's latest perfume or Jennifer Lopez's body lotion - give me Chanel or Nivea any time!

Ms Kardashian is often described as a "terrific business woman". Give me a break!! She has not worked her ass off for years to build a successful business empire, like well-known lady-entrepreneurs Hilary Devey or Jacqueline Gold.

In fact, if she disappeared from magazines which have made her so famous, I believe the World would lose absolutely nothing..

The real Kim - I couldn't stop laughing when I saw this photo =D

People, care about animals!

When driving into my workplace's car park this morning, I noticed two fluffy pigeons wandering around and making their way directly  into my parking space. I tried to pull in slowly to scare them away but they remained in my space and did not seem to intend moving out of my way. So I had no other option than to stop the car, get out and gently wave the birds away to get into my space and  leave the little walkers unharmed.

When I returned to the car park after 5 o'clock I was outraged and saddened to see the bloody bodies of the birds lying on the ground.. Someone had coldbloodedly run over them! I guess not all people are willing to stop the car for some birds..

Pigeons are not small birds, so they can be seen easily on the road. How can anyone be so heartless to just run their car over the innocent living creatures? I just cannot get my head around it.

It breaks my heart every time I see a dead animal on the road and there are so many of them on the roads. I understand that sometimes drivers just cannot see the animal on the road, during nighttime or when roads are busy. Not all accidents as such can be prevented unfortunately.

But when you do see a wild animal from the distance starting to cross the road, please check your mirrors and brake when it's safe to do so. Just a little more care on the roads would, I believe, prevent thousands of unnecessary wildlife deaths on our roads every day..

For my two little friends from this morning - rest in peace.

Sonia by Sonia Rykiel Silk and Merino Wool Jersey Dress
£435  www.net-a-porter.com

I cannot put it onto words how much I love this Sonia Rykiel Fall/Winter 2011 dress. It's got a touch of yellow (my favourite colour), coral and black and these colours suit together so beautifully.
I just can't get my head around forking out £435 for a dress, so unfortunately I will have to keep admiring it just on the photo :(  Or another option - Christmas sales :-P

Can you tell who is this fabulous world famous (usually not-so-brunette) lady?

Of course - my massive favourite Lady Gaga :)

I admire Gaga's (real name: Stefani Germanotta) unique look and style but couldn't help but love this rather ordinary but in her case unusual outfit and haircut. Also, press has gone mad about her starting to showcase more wearable clothes, such as this Versace dress below (yumyum :P). OH, if I only had Donatella on my speed-dial as well...
